Bringing together textile designers, fiber artists, and craftspeople from NYC for a circular maker’s market, sustainable craft workshops, and art exhibitions. Check out the below agenda for all scheduled workshops, talks and demonstrations!

Sponsored by The Ribbit Factory, a bespoke repair and remanufacturing studio based in Long Island City, Queens. Bring your damaged clothing or textile items to the event to drop off repair orders in person!

  • Shop locally made fiber art work from our vendors, bring your damaged clothing to place textile repair orders, and snack on treats from Grain Dead Bakery, all made with regionally sourced ingredients!
  • Bring your old sweaters, denim jeans and woven apparel & textiles for local reuse and remanufacturing.

12:30PM-1:15PM: Bundle Dyeing and Eco-Printing Workshop with Dettmann Designs

  • For ages 5+, and parents!
  • ​Introduction to printing on textiles and freeform textile art.
  • ​Free entry | Donations accepted at entry

1:30PM-3:30PM: Indigo Resist Dyeing Workshop with Nelise Nasheida Textiles

  • For ages 18+
  • Discover the magic of indigo, one of the oldest natural dyes in the world. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore indigo dyeing through accessible resist techniques using everyday materials to create bold, one-of-a-kind patterns on fabric.
  • All materials provided
  • Free entry | Donations accepted at entry

2:15PM-3:00PM: Artist Talk - An Exploration of Quilting & Craft with Sara Washington Goggin and The Ribbit Factory

3:15PM-4:30PM: Spring Mending! Introduction to Darning with The Ribbit Factory

  • For ages 18+
  • Introduction to plain weave darning. Bring a sweater or textile of your own, or use scrap material. All other materials provided.
  • Free entry | Donations accepted at entry
